About Chabad Legacy West
Plano is experiencing an urban renaissance. Tens of thousands of new jobs are heading to this side of the Metroplex. Alongside this, Chabad at Legacy West is orchestrating a renaissance of the spirit.
We are building a warm, welcoming community where young Jews in their 20’s and 30’s come to feel at home, to celebrate their Judaism, to study, and to connect, regardless of affiliation or level of observance.
Our mission statement? To inspire one Jew at a time to live their Judaism with passion and purpose.
RABBI ELI AND SARA BLOCK
Eli grew up in Plano, studied internatiaonlly, then returned to help build vibrant Jewish life for post-college young adults in the Plano area. In the early morning hours he can be found writing for Kehot Publications, Chabad’s publishing house. He’s down for coffee anytime, and is open to every Jewish question.
Sara is a Brooklyn native who is looking for a fix of New York kosher bakery. So if you see something, say something. She earned her MA in Education from Brooklyn College, and she holds the Judaic Chair at Yavneh Academy. She is Chabad of Legacy West’s voice of reason, gourmet chef, and attentive ear, all wrapped into one.
